Etiology of Reactive arthritis
Following an infection of Gastro Intestinal or Genito Urinary tract triggers the onset of the disease.
- GI Tract: Shigella, Salmonella, Yersinia, Campylobactor
- GU Tract: Chalmydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma genitalium
Most of the patients are associated with HLA-B27
Antigens from the pathogens are present in synovial fluid.
