Whipples disease

Rare systemic infectious disease caused by the bacterium Tropheryma whipplei.  Whipple disease interferes with digestion and absorption of foods. Common symptoms are severe weight loss with chronic intermittent diarrhea, colic-like abdominal pain, and migratory polyarthritis.
